The Oyster
Festival returns this January for its second year, offering a fun mixture of new activities and old favorites that are certain to entertain the entire family. The Oyster Festival originated as a hometown celebration honoring the local favorite – the oyster – and is now under the auspices of the Pass Christian Harbor Festival Association. Last year hundreds of visitors flocked to the festival on the Gulf in Pass Christian Harbor – drawn by live entertainment, top-notch artisans, carnival rides and the lure of oyster eating. And of course…the Patron Party, where volunteer chefs and culinary pros of premier Mississippi gulf Coast dining establishments work side by side, cooking and serving dozens of unique oyster, shrimp and other seafood concoctions along with traditional festival fare.
